Check started: Check started. The record's locator (Lovin Malta) is dated 3 Mar 2025, not Feb 2025, and gives the Minister's words only on the number of kiosks; the intake's sentence on tenders from 2026 is a paraphrase. gov.mt returned 403 and the Wayback Machine was unreachable.. CC-086, Tourism & Population; pledge label so far: Missed (draft, pending right of reply).

Exact wording found: Verbatim wording found in The Shift (14 Apr 2025): the Minister's 'starting in the summer of 2026, everyone will have to compete and pay the right price'. Claim text, speaker and date restated to those words; the MTA's reduction of kiosks is the outlet's paraphrase.. Note: Evidence: the MTA spokesperson's quoted words of 8 Feb 2026 (tenders wait for the planning permit; no tenders that summer, as reported), The Shift 24 Jun 2026 (no tender), the MTA's Blue Lagoon Strategic Plan page (summer 2026). No kiosk tender notice found; MTA procurement for Comino found was for security, cleaning and wristbands.. CC-086, Tourism & Population; pledge label so far: Missed (draft, pending right of reply).

Check started: Attempt 1 (worker B). gov.mt press release PR260230 returned 403 and the Wayback Machine was unreachable. Malta Business Weekly (12 Feb 2026) reproduces the release: the Minister's words in quotation marks are on 'unprecedented levels of growth' and the strategy 'leaving its mark'; 'over 4 million arrivals' is not in his words (the outlet says about 4 million). The NSO inbound-tourism release that would test arrivals and spend is browser-only. Needed: the gov.mt release and the NSO release text, read in a browser.. CC-083, Tourism & Population.
